Delta’s Indigenous Engagement strategy is based around three strategic pillars: 

Pillar 1: Cultural Awareness
We recognize that developing the knowledge and skills of our employees and contractors is part of building strong relationships with Indigenous communities. We aim to establish a work environment that is welcoming, respectful and understanding of indigenous people and culture.
Pillar 2: Proactive Indigenous business development
We will help develop capability and enhance economic prospects of Indigenous owned suppliers by providing support and mentorship and by sharing policies and procedures and helping them develop and integrate internal safety programs.

Pillar 3: Meaningful community engagement 
Indigenous businesses know the customs, environment and needs of their communities better than anyone else. We will build positive and meaningful relationships with Indigenous communities wherever we operate.
