Works involved the mobilisation of over 20 Excavators ranging from 2t to 70t. Delta Groups internal engineering team's detailed methodologies that utilised controlled collapse mechanisms which allowed for the demolition of the structures to be completed safely and well ahead of program and budget. Delta Groups fleet of machinery allowed for works to be carried out from the safety of ground level with the 45t long reach, and 70t long reach excavators (40m of reach) completing the works with great effectiveness.

Delta Group maintained a 98% recycle target on all demolished materials for the project which included over 10,000t of steel and 50,000t of concrete heading to recycling facilities.

Used extension arm and shears on the 45t long reach excavator to reach up to the ceiling of the Exhibition Halls and with precise shearing, lowered the roof of the structure. Used 70t long reach excavator to hammer structural walls and columns of Convention Centre. Implemented controlled felling method of 33 metre mast columns instead of crane lifts.
