​Upgrade of the Parker Point Fuel Terminal

Project Overview

​The Parker Point Fuel Terminal South Bund Upgrade includes the Lay Down Area, Drainage System, Tank Bund Wall and Floor construction, Tank 5: Floor Replacement/ Subgrade replacement/ Valve replacement/ Surface Protection, Tank 6: replacement of Floating Suction/underpinning of floor/ valve replacement/ Surface Protection, Piping and Mechanical Upgrade of the South Bund walkways and install of new supports/footings, the Fire System, the Potable Water system, Plant Lighting & Power, Automatic Fire Warning System.​

Skills and experienced used/ Problems overcome:

Combined use of Demolition and Construction Skills including Mechanical, HDPE Welding, Surface Protection and Electrical.​

Personnel required various additional skills such as: Confined Space and Working at Heights.

The restricted and confined nature of the Works, combined with the restriction due to the Fuel Infrastructure, required careful and accurate planning. Constant monitoring of the Work areas to ensure smooth flow of activities and safety adherence were paramount.​
