Demolition & Removal of 10 BHP redundant rail bridges​​

Project Overview

​Delta Group was commissioned by WBHO –Carr to undertake the demolition and removal of 10 nominated redundant BHP rail bridges between Port Hedland and Newman. Works included craning 15t bridge sections to ground for processing and recycling, excavating and removal of abutments, bridge columns and footings all within metres of operational BHP Iron Ore trains and protected aboriginal sites.

Delta mobilised a team of 24 personnel over 3 teams, each with its own supervisor working on alternative rosters to ensure works were carried out to Program. Delta Group in conjunction with WBHO - Carr Civil received a safety award for works performed on site.​
