Sydney’s famous Darling Harbour precinct has been transformed in recent years and Delta Group has been at the heart of the action.
Our involvement began with Lend Lease in 2015 when we were contracted to design and deliver a single source project management solution to kick-start the development of Australia’s first and largest fully integrated convention, exhibition and entertainment facility – the $1.5b ICC Sydney development.
As our work with Lend Lease was progressing, Grocon contracted us in 2016 to also complete demolition and civil construction works in preparation for their new $700m mixed use residential, entertainment, retail and hospitality precinct – ‘The Ribbon Sydney’ – on the site of the old IMAX cinema.
We successfully undertook major demolition and civil construction works in a high density harbour-side location – all without disrupting residential amenity and ambience, high volume pedestrian and arterial transport thoroughfares, or commercial business, retail and hospitality operations.
Over the 2 year life of the ICC Sydney project we provided turnkey services for demolition and civil construction works, recycling, landscaping and the removal of asbestos and hazardous waste, while our work with Grocon and The Ribbon Sydney project is ongoing.
