Job Description

As an Estimator with our South Australian division you will be responsible for producing detailed submissions for clients including cost estimates, programs and procurement documentation on a variety of demolition and early works contracts for large scale commercial and industrial projects. You will need to combine site experience with exceptional quantity surveying skills and have high attention to detail in financial and cost analysis along with ability to produce high quality and accurate submissions

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, plan, and compile detailed bids/quotes for large-scale Demolition projects located throughout SA for potential clients
  • Automonous management of due dates and deliverables
  • Collaboration with industry experts ensuring innovative and best cost solutions for upcoming projects are implemented
  • Effective and efficient management of key supplier/stakeholder relationships – including maintaining an up to date register of market rates and costs
  • Ability to identify risk, and provide upper/lower cost bounds to inform the Senior Management Teams decision making process prior to significant tender submissions
  • Develop specifications, source, negotiate and implement contracts with equipment, materials and service providers

To be successful in this position you must have the following experience and attributes:

  • Minimum 2 years experience in Demolition/Construction Industry
  • Experience in project estimation and new business
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or other Engineering will be highly regarded
  • Demonstrated strong and confident communication skills – verbal and written
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel and Project)
  • Willingness to collaborate with experienced team members in an office based setting
